Visiting London from up north in a few weeks and was so excited to come across Fiume restaurant. I rang up to see if they catered for coeliacs and someone with a nut allergy. Amara answered our call and had the most disgraceful customer service I've ever come across. She did not want to put us through to the restaurant, and only wanted to get back to us by email, and when we insisted we need to speak to someone in order to gain the confidence of whether they can cater, she begrudgingly agreed. She then asked 'will cross contamination be ok?'. For anyone who knows about coeliac, it's a disease where CC must be avoided (hence why we said coeliac and not gluten free). Obviously this made us lose all confidence. When we tried to explain this, Amara said 'oh my god, I literally serve customers with allergies every day' - but she was the one who asked this inappropriate question. We eat in restaurants worldwide with allergies and never have come across such rude and disgusting service. We were then promised a call from the restaurant which never came. Based on Amara's phone call, and no call from the restaurant, we will not be booking. Would avoid based on this alone.
