Beautiful peaceful back patio, fantastic welcoming service (thanks Cristian!), phenomenal salad and khachapuri, best gluten free pita I’ve ever had!

Fiya is one of my favorite places to eat in Chicago! My husband and I have been many times for dinner in the four years we've lived in the city, and have always left full and happy. It's a perfect vibe - a casual neighborhood spot, but still feels special enough to go for an occasion (and we have celebrated multiple birthdays here!). Our favorite thing is the pita and salatim - we always get multiple rounds of fluffy pita from the wood-fired oven, and were delighted to learn they have gluten-free pita for friends that are gluten free. The service is also always warm and friendly. I would recommend Fiya for almost any occasion - you won't regret a meal here!

As a celiac diner, there aren't that many spots in Chicago that make me feel welcome, and feed me safely. Fiya is a new favorite on the list. The staff are knowledgeable, and can help guide you through the menu, where many options are either naturally GF or modifiable. A dazzling array of mezze with warm, fluffy GF pita was a brilliant introduction on my first visit. When I returned for brunch, I ordered the strapatsada - a bowl of beautifully scrambled eggs laced with chili, sumac, tangy feta and topped with blistered oven roasted tomatoes, served with those warm, fluffy gluten free pita. The fresh mint tea with saffron is an enchanting and mysterious beverage that's worth a slow sip, and the bar menu always has several excellent quality ciders on draft. Highly recommend a visit!
