Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar

This review is called "The White Glove!" My daughter (8) was recently diagnosed with T1D and Celiac. So we can only eat at places with gluten-free menus and which share the nutritional information behind their menu (so we can accurately cover her carb intake). I reserved a table using Google, and I entered the dietary needs that we have in the "notes" section. Fleming's texted me a few hours before my reservation to confirm and let me know that they'd talk to the manager about getting the carb count info on the kid's menu items. By the time I arrived and checked in, they sat me and my daughter at our table, and there was not only a GF menu there, but a 4-page printout of the entire menu's nutrition information. Our host, Jenna, even went a step further and highlighted all the items that were on the children's menu. If this isn't an amazing consumer experience, I don't know what is. We absolutely loved our twin Filet meals and the service was excellent. Way to go above and beyond, Fleming's. We will definitely be back for more daddy/daughter dates!!

We went to Fleming’s in January for my mom’s birthday and it was a wonderful experience. I have celiac disease and must eat a gluten free diet. They had a gluten free menu waiting at our table, which was also decorated for the birthday. Our server was excellent and very knowledgeable about the menu and went above and beyond to give us an amazing experience. We went back last weekend for my birthday, expecting the same wonderful experience, but it was the opposite. For starters, my husband ordered a soup that never arrived. He didn’t bring it up to the server and we moved on with our meal, but they tried to charge us for it. Second, my mom’s meal arrived cold. Most importantly, I ordered berries with cream for my dessert and they placed a gluten cookie inside the cream! I had obviously told the server of my “allergy” at the beginning of the meal, but the staff were obviously not paying attention. Luckily I noticed before I ate it, otherwise it could’ve made me very sick. The server was hardly apologetic about all of these incidents. It felt like we were a bother to him. I don’t know if something has changed in just a few short months. Maybe we were just there on a bad night. Either way, I expect more from Fleming’s and I guess we need to find a new birthday spot. :(
