Flor Fina

We are regulars at Flor Fina. I am quite fond of their menu and gluten-free options. The hotel is beautiful and I really like the space and location. Service was great last night and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone interested. The food is not over priced. I got roasted chicken and rice and beans for under 40$ and it was so flavorful. The short ribs with bleau cheese grits was to die for. We ended with the only gluten-free dessert they offer which was chocolate, raspberries with icecream and pine nuts. I am not a dessert person and I loved it. We loved 2/3 of our tapas. The octopus and the steak pintxos were awesome!! The agua chili was ok. It had a little too much of an ocean water taste for me. Neither of us really cared for our cocktails. I would also recommend that the servers brush up on food allergies a bit more. I had told our server I was gluten free but cross contamination was ok, and he recommended me several dishes because he said there was “just a little bit of gluten” in it. That’s not really how that works. I also asked if one of the soups were gluten free and he said he wasn’t sure and if anything they just use a little to thicken it. He didn’t volunteer to find out. And again, not really how gluten allergies work. Overall, I would definitely come back.
