Floyd Country Store

A wonderful restaurant, shop, and community center in the remote community of Floyd, VA. We always seem to find ourselves in Downtown Floyd outside the operating hours of most of the shops, but Floyd Country Store manages to make the stop worthwhile all on its own. All the food is delicious, well prepared, and incorporates local ingredients, from the soups and salads to the entrees and desserts. Even better, the service is good, making sure you can order and receive your food in a reasonable amount of time. We were delighted to find Gluten Free options in the desserts. There's a distinct feel of the Floyd community when you visit this store. Locals are visiting and hanging out. One time we went and there was live bluegrass, and another there was a folk dance group class going on. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit, but if you're passing through Floyd or just want to experience something different I highly recommend visiting Floyd Country Store!
