Flying Dutchman

We had dinner as a date night for my husband's birthday. I cannot eat gluten, so I asked the waiter about the options on the menu. He never made eye contact with me and said, as he walked away, "Just don't get anything breaded or fried and you'll be fine." Did not instill confidence in the food at all. Husband had a chicken sandwich and I had grilled shrimp. When the food came out, the fries with the chicken sandwich were room temperature and so was the rice pilaf that came with my shrimp. We specifically picked this place because we wanted a good meal and because it wasn't a chain restaurant (Joe's Crab Shack, Landry's, etc). I think we would have done better at a chain restaurant.

Everyone enjoyed their meals. They were very kid friendly and helped figure out that the salmon salad could be modified to be gluten-free easily for me. Also the bar tender makes a mean vodka martini!
