Restaurant Review: Fogarty's in Key West, FL
A business meal at Fogarty’s in Key West, FL a few weeks ago was satisfying due to a number of factors. First, it was an enjoyable setting in which to eat, one full of ambience that encourages conversation. Although the background at the restaurant is never too loud, conversation between the members of our party was an easy task in the comfortable acoustic environment.
In terms of menu, though they do offer GF options, I would like to see more like expanding the gluten free menu to create more choices for those with dietary restrictions.
Best were the Key Lime Shrimp: flawlessly fresh, perfectly cooked and indisputably local, this creamy cocktail fare summed up Key West cuisine in just one succulent, savory, lemony-sweet bite of Key West goodness. I’ve got to come back here some day.
The service at Fogarty’s was great. Everybody was very friendly and kept everything running smoothly. That all helped make for a pleasant mealtime experience.
Overall, I’d say that Fogarty’s would be a great place to go out to eat for a quiet evening, most especially if you also have food allergies. I think a little more work on their gluten-free menu, such as reaching out to their distant location and offering it for a whole weekend, would help attract a larger market of diners.
