Visited Foo on a Sunday evening with family. We unfortunately didn't have a reservation (because we had prior commitments that we couldn't anticipate the time we'd reach the restaurant) and there was about a 30 min waiting period, which we were okay with - however, it would have been better if they had some seating for those waiting. There were 6 of us and 2 more parties waiting for seating, and it was honestly a little messy and blocked the path for servers for the outside seating. Also, no waiting area when there are elders can be an issue.
We were seated on the mezzanine floor, and cannot complain about the food or service. Loved the wide variety of food available, a lot of vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and even Jain options available. The food was really well done, with quality produce used. We tried their Mt. Foo-ji for dessert and it was absolutely lovely - if you are going in larger groups, this is a must try for sure!
My only complaint would be with sushi serving size options - most places do allow for different no. of pieces to be ordered, which wasn't available here.
The staff was polite, attentive and helpful and absolutely no complaints.
The ambiance of the restaurant is good too, however the smoking zone is on the mezzanine floor as well, and we were seated nearby, so after a while, our section of the floor was filled with the smell of cigarette smoke. Maybe installing some kind of exhaust in the room would help.
Otherwise, loved the space and would definitely visit once again!
