Truly one of the worst experiences we've ever had. Ordered a burger for my 2 year old medium. Came underdone enough to soak the bun in blood. Would have been probably a medium-rare at best. Our other son got a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Peanut butter and jelly was applied VERY conservatively. I ordered a chicken bacon ranch wrap with no onions. I received a chicken salad wrap with a liberal portion of red onions. Those were the things we were able to handle okay.
The lady that took our order was so rude. This was not a teenager or anything like that. Probably a 50 year old lady. It was like we were interfering with her day by trying to purchase food at the place she worked. My wife asked what soups they had. She pointed to the screen and said, it's right there. My wife asked if they had gluten free bread. She pointed to the sign and said, "no we're out". My wife asked if there was any other gluten free options. She said, "no". We were both ready to just leave at this point with how rude this lady was, but we had hungry kids and a flight to catch so we just kept going. My wife finally said, "okay I'll have a caesar salad with a piece of salmon". The lady said, "we don't have salmon". My wife pointed to the screen and said, "it's right there on the screen.". The lady looked, saw that it was up there, and annoyingly said "that's not supposed to be up there." I'm not sure if she saw how ironic that was. Alternatively, my wife got steak on top of the salad, expecting something like a strip sliced or cubed on top. When it came it was like someone dumped a philly cheese steak on top of some bagged lettuce. Definitely not a $20+ salad. When she finally took a bite of the salad, something was clearly wrong with the dressing. We've eaten plenty of homemade caesar salads with anchovies and also plenty of just bottled caesar dressings. This was just a caesar dressing that had gone bad.
Needless to say we will NEVER be returning to Food & Thought. Terrible service and inedible food.
