Perfect evening!!
We went for early dinner on a December Saturday as a family of 8, to celebrate my mum’s birthday!
Our family are pretty tough to cater for with a coeliac and various other dietary requirements, and the service and kitchen gave us confidence in the fact the food would be prepared with care and attention to detail.
We weren’t disappointed - the service was the perfect balance of attentive and relaxed, and our dietary requirements were carefully listened to and catered for, allowing us to enjoy the relevant plates, sharing and sampling the mix of delicious options.
My favourites were the torched mackerel and the pig cheeks - slow cooked to perfection. ❤️ Other faves were the carrot salad, hake with celeriac puree and the awesome, perfectly cooked steak.
The lay out of the restaurant allows diners to experience the kitchen up close. The slick way the team work means dishes arrive at the table at a perfect pace and the bar team work closely with waiting staff to keep everyone’s’ thirsts quenched throughout.
What a lovely format! This is a forward thinking and well thought out place, well worth a visit.
