OMG GO! This place is amazing. We were a group of 6 for a business dinner. I’m gluten free and selected halibut. It was served with boiled potatoes. Immediately upon being seated they serve salad, bread and olives. All of our meals came piping hot and delicious and large portions. They even served churros with chocolate sauce. They offer a ton of desserts, multiple gluten free desserts too. The service is by far the best I’ve ever seen. They give you a warm towel after dinner. The outside seating would be delightful on a nice day. The wine bottle list is bigger than a bible…so many options. I really can’t think of anything negative to say. An exceptionally well run restaurant with authentic home cooked food with a wait staff that really cares.

Fornos is the best Spanish restaurant of its kind in Newark, without contest. The food is absolutely delicious. I have not had better paella besides my own. When you sit down, you are served with salad and an olive mix with bread, butter and olive oil for dipping. The olive mix is delicious. We had garlic shrimp as an appetizer which was seasoned so deliciously, unique from any other that I've had. We ordered paella for dinner which was probably big enough for 2 people. They have several types of paella, some with just seafood, some with seafood and chicken/chorizo, and others with just meat and no seafood. After dinner, everyone gets a churro with chocolate for dipping. I am allergic to dairy and gluten and for dessert. They had dairy and gluten free options which I have never seen at any other restaurant. Usually, all I am able to have is sorbet. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had three dessert options that were both dairy and gluten-free. I ordered two out of the three because I was so excited: a Berry tart and a chocolate cake tart. Both were very good, especially the chocolate tart. Although I have heard that you are usually rushed to order and the food comes very quickly, that was not our experience. We went on a busy Saturday night so that could have been why we had a little time to enjoy everything without feeling rushed. I definitely give this restaurant five stars, and I would also go here before I went to any Portuguese restaurant in Newark, as well. I can't wait to go back! Oh and to add, the sangria is delicious.
