Forte dei Marmi

We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant, especially after the warm welcome at the entrance. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill very quickly due to extremely poor service. We specifically asked several times for gluten-free bread, but it never arrived, not even by the time we left, keeping in mind that we had asked several times for it yet nothing came. For a table of 7 ordering multiple dishes to share, we expected proper fine dining service where food is portioned and plated individually. Instead, the waiter told us “we don’t do that,” which is quite surprising since this is standard in fine dining restaurants. Ironically, when the waiter first came to our table, he told us we would “feel like we’re in Italy.” Sadly, it felt more like a casual street food experience rather than anything close to fine dining. The overall experience left a very negative impression on me and my entire family. Unfortunately, this restaurant gave us nothing but disappointment, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

This was my second time visiting forte & everything was nothing short of amazing! Our server Maximo was very attentive & even brought me gluten free bread to the table. I love how they cater to dietary restrictions (gluten) which was a really nice touch. Both of our drinks were great! We tried the octopus appetizer as well as the oysters (I waited all year to have them)! They are delicious. For our entree, we enjoyed the truffle mushroom fettuccine & the gluten free spaghetti Bolognese. Hands down the best GF pasta I’ve ever had! I’m still craving it. It’s a bit on the expensive side, but definitely worth every penny! I will gladly return and recommend forte for a wonderful upscale Italian restaurant on Miami Beach.

Cute and very ambient restaurant. First off you must have a reservation to eat at any time. Second they do have two types of gluten free pasta and did take our celiac seriously. We had tuna tartar, gluten free bread and rigatoni alla bolognese. The food was fresh and hot and overall we had a great experience. The only pet peeve I have is when restaurants add auto gratuity.
