I'm not very good at sarcasm but let me try because I guess I really love stumbling on the places by the sea perpetuating inner city gentrification and doing it less good and with more attitude! 🙂🙃
My personal and heartfelt apologies to the white girls dressed in other people's cultures who were of course aggrieved at me for not knowing intuitively how their service flow works and so having to ask (obviously such silly) questions in lieu of a "hello" or any guidance - I'll be reflecting on this transgression for a while to come, especially when I received my tepid £3 black coffee in a takeaway cup I hadn't asked for or been asked about and asked to place it in a ceramic cup (to a "huh??" response), which I did myself so as to not burden the seemingly overwhelmed coffee maker who was clearly and probably rightly enraged with me for using this initiative (so of course I deserved the petulant "well you've touched it now" remark I received no of course I did!)
Looking forward to coming back to one of Margates many (many) so-called cafés for the ever exciting exercise of choosing either dairy free OR gluten free, deeply unimaginative and non-nutritious baked goods or poorly executed appropriated cuisine items from neo-colonists angry at their lives not making sense! Hope they're playing hip hop to all the wealthy white patrons next time too cos that's just so enjoyable!
