Franco's Trattoria

This was my first time at the restaurant and it had a nice cozy atmosphere. There was a jazz band playing and they were excellent. There were three of us. One ordered a gluten-free pizza which had a very good crust and was good. I had the eggplant which was one of the most disappointing things I have ever eaten. It was sliced way too thick, deep fried and it was too tough to cut through. I even tried cooking it further at home and it just would never soften up. It must have been a very unripe eggplant. The marinara sauce was very average, not much flavor. The third person is very polite and never says a negative word so I am uncertain how her meal was but she was not raving about it. I think it was a chicken piccata dish.

Amazing gluten free pizza! Informal and very friendly. Lots of seating.
