We’ve had Franco Manca elsewhere and really enjoyed it. In Plymouth, the service is inattentive and the food misses the mark. We ordered for us and the kids. My wife is gluten free, but the GF request was missed. Our starters didn’t arrive at all, and the kids didn’t get their drinks until after our pizzas arrived. This kids’ pizzas arrived after ours - a bit of a family-friendly faux pas. But the major let down were the pizzas themselves. I don’t know if they weren’t cooked long enough, or if the oven wasn’t hot enough, but everything was anaemic. The mushrooms on my pizza were raw, my wife’s veggie pizza - which had so much potential - tasted of raw veg on a doughy base and the kids pizzas lacked any caramelisation at all. In short, this lets the chain down. There are far better pizza places a short walk away.
