Our first and last visit to Frankie B’s restaurant because of its high prices and lack of value for money.
A last minute change of plans to give Frankie B’s a try for a family pizza night out on Sunday 29-12-2024.
Our meal, comprising of one entrée, four pizzas, and three drinks (two beers and one apple cider), totalled $297, including a Sunday surcharge of 15% being $38.
The pizzas were overpriced: a Margherita pizza at $37.90, a gluten-free Capricciosa pizza at $48.80, and two garlic prawn pizzas at $46.90 each.
The pizzas were of standard size and of reasonable quality having minimal toppings which did not justify the high markup in price.
Additionally, the staff were neither friendly nor so helpful, which really stood out. The restaurant has a nice layout and is well presented.
In hindsight, we should have stuck to our original plan and dined at the restaurant a few doors down, where we have been many times before and where the pizzas are on average 40% cheaper and of the same quality or slightly better.
