Good gluten free choice

If you have a severe allergy then may be best to steer clear of Frankie’s at Basildon Festival Leisure. I informed the waitress I had coeliac and she informed me anything with the GF symbol on the menu is suitable. I ordered bacon and cheese potato skins to start followed by the pepperoni pizza, both of which had the GF symbol next to it. Our food came out quickly, there were no stickers or flags or anything that indicated the food was gluten free so I checked with both the boy who gave us our food and our waitress, both of which assured me it was gluten free. After eating about half of the pizza I started to feel unwell to which I then had to go to the toilets to be sick. I asked the waitress again if the food was definitely gluten free to which she replied yes, my friend then saw her speaking to the chef and pointing over. We quickly paid the bill and left, I was sick again and unable to drive home due to feeling faint. I spent the following day in bed feeling extremely unwell. Couldn’t fault the service as our waitress was attentive and friendly, food was quick but I will not be returning.
