Even though we arrived just before closing the very friendly staff were happy to accommodate us. Lots of choice of yummy food including some gluten free for me. Definitely recommended :)

We've stopped in to Freckles Cafe in Westport three times now on our way to and from Karamea and love the friendly atmosphere and the great 'home made food'. They definitely understand that Gluten allergies does not mean vegetarian and I absolutely adore the brownies! Meanest Gluten Free BLAT ever!
I can not comment on the pies apart from the fact that they are made on site and seem to be very popular.
