Freska Mediterranean Grill

Vegetarian labelled section of the menu. Nothing specifically labelled vegan. Their sauces had descriptions of what they were. I am not sure if this was an accessibility thing or just because people don’t know mediterranean sauces. But nothing for vegan or gluten free. I can tell they tried, and i am sure they would be more than happy to update it, but right not dietary restrictions other than vegetarian are confusing. The staff were solid. I’ve had better service, though. The food was decent. Definetly not the best mediterranean food I have ever had. The pita was slightly more hard than i usually like, and the falafel was just okay. Hard to mess the veggies up. Hummus and couscous were good. A vegan can survive here, and a vegetarian can thrive. Not a go-to, but probably one of the better restaurants in the area for these dietary restrictions.

I can’t have gluten, dairy and all the other yadda yadda crap, so I consistently order food from freska as it accommodates my diet. Today when I picked up my order, it was on a pita like a sandwich when I usually get a salad style meal. I told them the order was incorrect and that I couldn’t have bread. They put lettuce on it and handed it back to me still on a sandwich and I said I cannot have bread. I need this as a salad style meal. They then proceeded to blame me, accused me of placing the order wrong online and made me go to the back of the line to have my order corrected. THEY STILL DID NOT GET MY ORDER CORRECT. I know it’s so annoying when people request dietary changes and then complain, but that’s not the case here. I ordered correctly and they blamed me. There’s not much in my area that accommodates my restrictions so I’ll likely be back but will be extremely careful about how I place the order from now on. Makes me so frustrated they treat their customers badly as the food is decent. Treat your customers better. Take ownership if you make a mistake. It’s not hard. I didn’t even want anything extra. Just what I ORDERED. 😭
