Do your homework before eating here. First of all, if you have any food allergies, don't come here. We came here because my partner has two unfortunate food allergies and we could get food here without worrying. My partner is allergic to all dairy (not just lactose) and gluten and asked for no dairy on his tacos. The waitress was kind enough to take off the cream and cotija cheese and then offered to put a sauce on the tacos, that we later found out at the end of our meal had dairy in it (al pastor sauce, which does not traditionally come with dairy in it). The manager said sorry and my husband that is too nice, did not ask for a comp even though he will be hurting for days now. This establishment needs to train their employees better or someone could end up in a hospital. Next, I usually default to looking up google reviews to find the fan favorite food items. This time I didnt and this time I regretted it. I ordered chiles rellenos at the very top of the menu which are deliciously cheese stuffed chilis fried and smothered in enchilada sauce, but instead I received a Midwestern casserole with a sliced unstuffed chili (could have been a green pepper) on the bottom topped with a blend of rice, cream of mushroom, unseasoned chicken, zucchini, onion, and cheese on top with a side of store bought tasting red salsa. I know there are some very Midwestern tex-mex restaurants around here, but this had to be the most unauthentic and uninspired dish I have ever had in my life. Would have gone to Cracker Barrel if I wanted a casserole. Expected so much more from such a highly rated restaurant. Giving Frida's name a bad rep.
