Disappointing Experience with Disregard for Allergies I visited Frida Mexicana recently and was met with extremely poor service, despite there being only two other patrons in the restaurant. I mentioned twice while ordering that my meal needed to be gluten-free due to my Coeliac disease, yet after a long wait, the meal arrived with battered fish in the centre. When I brought this to the manager’s attention, their response was disappointing. They showed a concerning lack of understanding of allergen cross-contamination with the remainder of the meal. In a baffling twist, the rejected meal then appeared to be taken to another table for someone else to eat! Despite their mistake, the manager made minimal effort to rectify the situation. It is disappointing in 2024 that food establishments that offer gluten-free options, but do not understand the allergen, still exist. Based on this experience, I can't give Frida Mexicana more than one star.
