Friend's Cafe

Friend’s Café in New Brunswick is such a gem! The food was absolutely delicious; everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. I had the avocado toast, the chicken rice bowl, and even tried a few of their homemade desserts (all amazing!). Their matcha was honestly the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried matcha from all over. I have to eat gluten free and deal with multiple food allergies, and I was so impressed by how accommodating they were. They had great options for me, and even the gluten free bread was delicious (which is rare!). It’s also dog friendly, which I love, and they even have a menu just for pups! They’re also willing to take special requests for desserts for parties, which I definitely plan to do in the future. Such a great find! I can’t wait to come back again soon.

My first time here and let me tell you it's not a place you should pass up. The Persian cherry rice with grilled chicken was delicious. The Akbar mashti persian ice cream- Saffron ice cream infused with rosewater and pistachios was a perfect hot summer day dessert. They have vegan, gluten free so many food and latte options , today I had an iced matcha tea with coconut milk and strawberry foam it was yummy, and they are animal dog friendly here which I love too! Owners are welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be back! Right down the road from Rutgers University.

Love the place! It’s pet friendly and they do have gluten free options. Food was great and the best part the pup food comes with a toy.
