Frostings Bake Shop

Frostings used to be great before they moved. Tonight was my last attempt. My husband stopped by and grabbed a chocolate and vanilla gf cupcake for with vanilla frosting. And the frosting was completely broken (gritty, running off the sides). You can’t be a cupcake place called frostings with broken frosting.. What really set them apart (before the move) was the options of gluten free cupcakes- they would have chocolate, vanilla, and red velvet but they were super accommodating and would let you fill and top the cupcakes with whatever was gluten free. So for example if they had a regular key lime pie cupcake you could fill a vanilla gf cupcake with lime curd and icing. Now they only have plain cupcakes. Now, they can’t seem to get the salt ratio right. The cupcakes are also either too dense or dry. And they have limited flavors for GF (which I’m not faulting them for, but it does suck)

The service and taste was exceptional. Being able to select cup cakes to meet grandchildren's diverse food selections and allergies was great. One of our grandchildren is allergic to dairy products and the other is allergic to gluten products, apples and nuts. It's really nice to have a place to go when we have a celebration ahead of us. Been going every year and in between. The help on our last visit was superb. We placed a wrong order, new closing time and the order was corrected even though the person had to stay after closing time. How considerate and thoughtful at a time of desperation. Thank you many times over.
