I’ve been lucky enough to have received weekly deliveries from Gaia since their inception. As a single person, I find the portions to be enough for two (and I am someone who can pack it away). As a discerning foodie, there is nothing ever lacking in the flavors, textures and ingredients used. They also make the list of ingredients and sources of local produce available. I am amazed at how the chefs never cease to surprise me with these dishes I am used to as non-veggie dishes. The sauces, dressings, and pickled/fermented veggies are amazing to the point that I can’t wait for them to bottle these products. The meals come with a soup or salad, entrée, and dessert. The soups and salads are so filling , I often find myself eating them as individual meals. Finally the desserts are called Barbara’s Bundt’s. These are by far the best vegan cakes around. I fully expect to start seeing them in gourmet markets and coffee shops around Southern and Midcoast Maine. Perfectly moist, hearty, and flavorful plus gluten free too; there is nothing complain about here except that they don’t include recipe cards. The two women who run this business embody the spirit of Mainers who create memorable, delicious food. BONUS…they deliver to you every week.
