GONZO! Ramen

Honestly just a gem. My husband and I used to drive down to SD for good ramen. Under Belly, Tajim, Menya Ultra- but Gonzo! genuinely beats them all and it’s so much closer to us. We’ve been coming here since they opened and bring all of our loved ones when they visit because it’s a no brainer. The owner and his kids are friendly and the vibe is just so cool. Parking can be a pain but you should know what you’re in for in DT Carlsbad. Black garlic tonkotsu with the gluten free ramen is my go to. Don’t forget the karaage!

Delicious ramen! I got the Gonzo Red with the gluten free noodle option. I was made aware of the fact that the broth did have a little wheat in it so it absolutely not celiac friendly. Service was great and efficient. Atmosphere was very cozy. Go early to beat the long line and crowd.
