George's At Alys Beach

My wife and I recently had lunch at George's at Alys Beach, a place we've visited many times over the years with various group sizes. The food is always solid—fresh, delicious, and they’re very sensitive to my gluten-free needs due to celiac disease. It’s reassuring to know I can dine there without worry. The patio is dog-friendly and provides a pleasant setting for a meal. However, there’s a recurring issue with flies when dining outside. The restaurant has provided clever fans with floppy blades to try and manage it, but the flies are still a nuisance. I wonder if low-speed fans or a steady breeze could help more effectively. Overall, George’s remains a reliable spot for a great meal, and we’ll definitely be back, hopefully next time to try the cocktails!
