Wow, thank you, Shannon and Geraldine's Supper Club & Lounge! Good friends were in from out of town and they invited us to Geraldine's. It's one of their favorite places to eat, and now I can see why!
I had never been to the restaurant, so the first thing I did was call and talk to the General Manager, Shannon Rogers.
I shared with her that we were meeting friends there for dinner in a couple of weeks, and I told her about my beautiful wife who had Celiacs, a dairy allergy, and a soy allergy, and I asked for her help in finding food she could enjoy and be safe eating.
Shannon was so friendly, and you could hear her genuine kindness come through the phone. She started to review the menu with me as we searched for safe and delicious options together.
Then she asked me to hold and went back to confer with the chef.
She came back with great options, and we had a game plan, and it looked really good for my wife!
Last night we met our friends at Geraldine's and I was blown away. The atmosphere, the food, and the drinks were all excellent. The service is top-notch and is delivered with this genuine and relaxed style and flow.
I'm from the East Coast and I grew up with fresh seafood, so I looked at the crab cakes with a little skepticism. You can't usually get crab cakes that match what I grew up with in Maryland, but these did!
The scallops were perfectly seared and so tender, and I found out that they had creme Brule and ordered that to finish my meal. It was Fantastic! Everyone else enjoyed their meals, and my wife had a safe and delicious meal too which made the evening even better.
I'm so grateful for a great evening with friends and for the amazing food and amazing service. They even had live piano music to accompany our meal. If you get a chance, go check out Geraldine's, you won't be sorry that you did. If you get to meet Shannon, say hi for me. She's a wonderful manager and host and a level one sommelier so she can help you with a great wine selection too.
