Girasoles

I was diagnosed with celiac a year ago and have not been able to eat out without it being super awkward. The experience I had at Girasoles made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. Chef Jose came out to visit my husband and I at our table and answered all our questions and was very sweet. He could make pretty much anything on the menu we wanted gluten free. If we asked for something not on the menu I am certain he would have gone out of his way to get it for us. Chef certainly loves what he does and we are blessed to have such a jewel of the culinary world near us. The prices were high but worth it because it wasn’t just the food we went for😁.

This place is EXCELLENT. It's pricey, but I think you get what you pay for in this case, and it's excellent for a rare evening out. My husband has Celiac Disease, so we struggle to find places we can eat fully gluten-free for his health. This place has perfectly accommodated with absolutely zero stress on our part both times we have gone, and the food has been so phenomenal that we haven't felt our options were really limited (except in the area of dessert, since all of those contain gluten here). If you have allergy needs, they will care for you well at Girasoles. We highly recommend the shrimp and crab dip (the chips that come with it can be made gluten-free in their dedicated fryer) and the Basil Explosion drink from the bar, but truth be told, nothing we have had was anything short of wonderful!
