I got a Groupon for my birthday so my wife and I came for dinner. We made a reservation (since it was for my birthday) for a Wednesday just in case but it turned out to be unnecessary. There were only a couple other tables there when we arrived and they filtered out soon after. The only negative of our experience was the initial wait. Im not sure if there was something going on behind the scenes that we weren't aware of but it took a minute for anyone to greet us and take us to our table once we came inside.
Our server Gene was terrific, my wife has a gluten allergy as well as a dairy intolerance but he really helped her with choosing an option that worked for her. They even have gluten free menus for such occasions and gluten free rolls so nobody feels left out.
For our appetizer we got the bacon wrapped asparagus, which came with 3 "bundles" of 3 asparagus spears each wrapped in a slice of bacon on a bed of arugula. It was very good, no complaints. For dinner I had a veal dish (that I can't remember the name of) that was terrific. It came with a side of rigatoni bolognese that was perfect. Everything was cooked to perfection and I forced to myself to wrap some up to take home before I was tempted to eat it all. For desert we got a tartufo which again was great.
Taken together, I'd say the highlights were the excellent service and delicious food, the two most important qualities for me. I would deduct a fraction of a point for having to wait the minute when we first walked in but since I can't give a half star, I'll give the full 5. I will definitely come back again.
