Glacia Tavern

As one whom finding food that fits within my tolerances it was very refreshing to find not only a server (didn't catch her name) but cooks as well who pay attention. I ordered there signature burger that comes with beer battered onion rings, I ordered a gluten free bun and per the server the cook confirmed the order was gluten free as the onion rings have flour in the batter. Not only did they not put the onion rings on, I was willing to deal with any pain issues from them, but the GF bun was more like a normal bun then the 'normal' GF ones I have had before. It was fluffy and sturdy, GF breads have a tendency to fall apart at first bite. I had to ask if it was GF it looked so good. Glacial Tavern is small but has the keweenaw spirit and atmosphere. Highly recommend if heading to Copper Harbor by way of Mohawk.

We live in the area and this was our first time dining at Glacia Tavern. We will definitely go back! The food was delicious and the service was great. I’m sorry I didn’t take any photos because it was also really well presented. We ordered pasta, burgers, bowls, a brisket sandwich, and two appetizers- a little bit of everything and everyone enjoyed their meals. The menu is extensive and you get a lot of food. They also have MANY gluten-free items which we appreciated. The only issue is that it’s a small place and they recommend reservations. We did see people turned away at the door who did not have them. So call ahead- it’s worth it!
