Glacier Bay Country Inn

We came here for my boyfriends 40th birthday dinner (we stayed elsewhere) and it was a truly lovely evening! Definitely make a reservation, there was only 6 tables, exactly who was expected, and it’s served as a prefix dinner with nice choices (probably tell them if you’re vegetarian in advance). They were able to modify to my gluten allergy which was nice and the service was excellent and a really nice “fancy” place to go in town! It was a bit pricey but for a one time special occasion really worth it! We brought our own wine from the liquor store in town (only open 3-7pm and not Sundays!) which I highly recommend doing (another party was jealous that they didn’t realize this!), even though they use juice glasses to serve it, they don’t charge for corking which is nice to still be able to have (it’s run by mormon family I believe). There is plenty of space between the tables and a lovely view outside the big windows. The young women serving us were so friendly and sweet. There was a bigger mosquito problem here than where we stayed (in the bathrooms mostly) but really that’s my only complaint! Really a fantastic place to eat if you’re looking for a nice meal.
