Goldie's is good and everyone is sleeping on it to go to corporate owned chains that you can eat anywhere.
I've been going to this location my entire life thanks to family in the area. I went this past Saturday and was sad to see only one other couple inside. Granted, it was 4 PM, but still.
The inside has never been updated aside from the smoking area being turned into the TV area.
The service was great and the all-you-can-eat pickle bar is still there.
I was diagnosed with Celiac disease since my last visit so I had to edit my order to be safe to eat. I had the chicken club without a bun and a side of cottage cheese. It was delicious. I have no clue how they make the chicken so tender.
My husband had the chicken strips dinner with a side of fries, country gravy, coleslaw and crackers for $13.99. It was a ton of food.
Goldie's also has a drive-thru, so if you're in a rush, you can eat on the go.
Goldie's is a delicious local restaurant that is not getting enough love from the town and that's a shame.
