On the one hand, this is a really lovely place with awesome people who work here and an open and airy seating area. I ordered an egg salad on pumpernickel and a vegan lemon bar. The little lemon loaf was a lot heavier than I expected, but overall everything tasted really good. I love the addition of the banana peppers and I'll start doing that on my own home-made sandwiches.
The only reason I'm giving so few stars is that ever since eating there, my stomach has been a mess! I kinda want to blame that heavy little lemon loaf, but whatever it was, it sat in my stomach like a brick all day. Even after it moved through my system, I still seem to be in quite a lot of pain - I ate there on Saturday and I'm writing this review on Thursday and my stomach still hurts. Maybe it's just a good axiom not to eat egg salad away from your own kitchen, or my body disagrees with whatever ingredients made the lemon bar vegan, or it was just too much food overall, but this isn't a usual reaction for me - I'm not gluten or dairy intolerant or have any real food allergies. (I can sometimes have a reaction to processed mushrooms, but I can't imagine that was anywhere in this meal.)
