Gonzalo’s American Bistro

Food was delicious! They offer gluten free pasta, buns and pizza crust. I have celiac and they made sure to take the extra precautions so the food was safe for me to eat. Great flavor. Crème brûlée was so so good! Our waitress was very friendly and sweet.

A small restaurant with great food! Everyone was friendly and it felt like eating at a friend's house with the small location and a rotation of people greeting each other. They had plenty of gluten free options and were happy to make any accommodations. The food was amazing!

From the moment we stepped in, we fell in love with Gonzalo 's! Because of the date it was slow, so we got the full attention of the wait staff and owners and the old house in the medical district with a calm and homey vibe would be great for catering with friends. The special pork medallions with polenta with mascarpone and sauteed spinach was heaven, and the pizza with gluten free crust was so tasty. However, the highlight of the meal was the appetizer-flash fried artichoke hearts with a lemon and olive oil drizzle and slivers of cerignola olives were out of this world! If you are in Galveston, commit to giving this place your serious attention! We'll definitely return!
