Thank you so much for looking after my dietary requirements when I visited here for a funeral wake on Tuesday. The chef went out of his way to externally buy me gluten free food so I was catered for with my celiac disease. I was so worried about not having anything to eat all day, and I was surprised by the choice he cooked just for me and even labelled my food with allergy flags. He was also so considerate and empathetic to me because I was so nervous about cross contamination- he was so patient and understanding and I really appreciated it! The chips were absolutely banging and I can’t wait to come up to visit here again. All the staff were really friendly and it felt like such a warm, friendly environment. I’m gutted I didn’t get the chefs name but I wanted to say thank you so much! :)

Had our father’s wake at the Goughs yesterday and Dean and the team really did look after us. Buffet was lovely and very reasonably priced and they have a good choice of drinks at the bar. Catered for my niece who is coeliac no problem; she was really impressed with the choice and amount of food she had. Considering the reason for hiring part of the pub it was a lovely afternoon.
