My boyfriend and I, both busy law students, had been looking forward to dining at this stunning restaurant for months. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations.
I have a gluten allergy, which I made clear when ordering, but the food took over an hour to arrive despite the restaurant being nearly empty. When I checked in with the waitress, she simply said they had multiple orders come in at once and offered no apology. When the food finally arrived, it wasn’t gluten-free and had to be remade. The food itself was disappointing, with a strange, almost rotten garlic taste. When the waitress asked how it was, I gave homest feedback, but again, there was no acknowledgment or apology. Even when the manager came over, their response was not to apologize but to offer a discount without addressing the service or quality issues.
We weren’t looking for a discount, just an acknowledgment of the problems an apology and some assurance they’d address them for future customers. Sadly, the entire experience left us feeling very let down, and we won’t be returning.
