Grand Café 'Gouverneur De Rouville'

Le Gouverneur deserves recognition for its exceptional service, and delicious food! We picked this restaurant as our one night off-resort based on the great reviews, friends who recommended it, and because they clearly identify gluten free options on the menu - of which there were plenty! The servers’ knowledge of cross-contamination and understanding about the importance of needing gluten free really reduced my anxiety about eating at a restaurant in a different country. Our server, Lindsay, was excellent and made sure to let me know what was going to be safe options for me. Before I even asked, she let me know that the fries were not an option for me because it was a shared fryer. The food was excellent and large portions. The cocktails and wine were also excellent. I highly recommend Le Gouverneur ! Just a tip: the balcony seating the overlooks the swing bridge and harbour books up a week in advance; be sure to reserve online well in advance - otherwise, the garden seating is just as lovely with a good vibe but also needs reservations.

Excellent lunch menu, well-prepared food, in the garden, inside or on the balcony with a beautiful view of the harbor entrance. In the last case, make a reservation in time. The banana soup is highly recommended. Unfortunately no gluten-free options.
