This place is fantastic! It's a bit on the pricey side, but the portions are way bigger than I expected. I had enough leftover food for another meal the next day. I also love that they have plenty of gluten free options. I'll definitely stop again when I'm in town.

I visited Great Sage on March 31, 2025, shortly after they opened for the day. Having just gotten off a flight, I drove directly from the airport, eager to enjoy a meal there. To my surprise, I was the only customer dining in at that time. I ordered the large gluten-free Caesar salad and the adult mac and cheese, both of which I had been looking forward to. Unfortunately, the Caesar salad was disappointing. The croutons were inedible—hard and stale—making it nearly impossible to enjoy the dish. Left with just a plate of Romaine lettuce and Caesar dressing, I removed the croutons and made the best of it. I was particularly excited about the adult mac and cheese, as it was the main reason for my visit. However, when it arrived, the top layer was warm, but the inside was ice cold. Given the restaurant was empty and I had ordered while eating the subpar salad, I was shocked. I brought this to the attention of the staff, who promptly took it back to be reheated. When it returned, I was horrified to see what was served: a bowl of vegan cheese sauce with a scant amount of pasta and vegetables on top. At that point, my patience had worn thin. I asked for the check and declined a to-go box. I’ve ordered the adult mac and cheese from Great Sage many times before, and I’ve never seen it served this way. It tasted like a cheap, overly salted vegan cheese sauce and looked as if it had been prepared by someone with little culinary experience. Overall, my visit today was highly disappointing. I don’t know if there has been a change in management or chefs, but the quality of the food has significantly declined. My last visit, about three months ago, was also underwhelming, with the spinach artichoke dip tasting sour and poorly presented, which is why I didn’t order it this time. I hope Great Sage can return to the quality I once enjoyed, as this experience was far from what I expected.

My family is like many others. One is gluten free, others are attempting a more plant based diet and others are just plain meat eaters...The meat eaters never missed their preference, a nice sign of success. Venue is cozy, clean and bright with a welcoming decor. Parking is easy and abundant. Great for families or friends to gather and the staff was attentive and friendly. Starters: *** Buffalo Bites- cauliflower florets tossed in a Buffalo sauce and dipped in batter and baked. The 2 dipping sauces went well with this dish. **** Artichoke dip- a creamy spinach and artichoke spread with melted Parmesan. There’s never enough crostinis which were nicely toasted. Drinks **** Wild Bay Kombucha- daughter enjoyed this drink. **** Magic Mushroom Maca Latte, very pleased with this drink. There were fine earthy notes with no aftertaste and not overly sweet. *** Other daughter had a ginger flavored tea which she enjoyed Entrees **** Crab cake sandwich and Crab cake platter with hearts of palm did not disappoint and my one meat eater said it was good! **** Adult Mac n Cheese was quite tasty. There were nice chunks of broccoli with the rigatoni and cannellini beans, bits of sundried tomatoes in a velvety cheese sauce. The topping was a nice blend of rosemary bread crumbs and truffle oil. **** Portobella Bulgogi Bowl was full of flavor. The mushrooms were grilled in a bulgogi marinade all mixed well with the vegetables. *** Organic Chili- husband enjoyed. Desserts **** Carrot Cake which was nice and moist with a delicious smooth cream cheese like frosting **** Chocolate Lava Cake was the top hit for everyone. The chocolate cake was smooth and melt in your mouth delicious with a hot fudge (that was nut, soy and wheat free) drizzled over a coconut ice cream. So yummy and a nice ending to an enjoyable lunch out with the family. If you are vegan, this is the place to come. If you are just looking for a decent well prepared menu of healthy options this will not disappoint.
