Just moved to Lafayette and I was excited to try a local, non-chain, coffee shop. The staff at the counter was super nice, not so much with the kitchen staff. I was trapped in my office working and I was looking for something I could have for a really late lunch and went in. I am basically only able to eat meat, cheese and veggies right now, so I asked if I could have a crepe without the crepe. The server thought it would be possible and went to check with the kitchen. For some reason, the kitchen thought even though I was three steps away that I wouldn't be able to hear them. They could do something called a scramble, which would be exactly what I wanted, but they did not want to, so they didn't. Because I was so hungry and so unfamiliar with what was around, I ended up paying $13 for a small cup of coffee and a gluten-free crepe where the only thing I could really eat on it was the ham that I peeled off. Way overpriced (even if I could eat the whole crepe) and a kitchen that isn't willing to entertain requests from the customers. I doubt I'll ever walk in the door again.
