Guava's Cuban Cafe

Went in on a Wednesday night for their date night deal. It was supposed to be $50 for 2 paellas, 2 sides, and 2 wines. We didnt get one of the sides, and the food that we did have was clearly very old, mushy, totally cold, and there was one singular mussel in the seafood paella which was difficult to eat. The 2 shrimp were also overcooked and unseasoned. There was also a flamenco dancer and guitar player playing. They gave us a table that was literally one foot from the stage; uncomfortable eye contact with a dancer while I'm chewing? Check. Whole restaurant staring at you while youre eating and trying to have a "date night"? Check. The dancer and guitarist also argued a bit during their set, then stopped their set after the kitchen brought food out for them mid-song. Very weird all around. The one saving grace was that staff were very nice, and helped us find out about gluten-free options. Though the bus boy was wearing an athletic shirt and sweat pants and came up to our table and said, "you guys good over here?" I thought he was another guest concerned about our well-being until he started clearing other tables.
