Gunyah Hotel

Our first visit to this bistro & it was lovely! ✨As soon as we walked in, it felt like we were on holiday - bright & open seating area, including tables out on a balcony, all over looking Lake Macquarie😍 The bar offered a great selection of wine. Meals choices were great too & included gluten free choices. I can highly recommend the Chicken Mignon - super tasty with delish vegetables 😋👍🏻

The food at the Gunyah was outstanding and the ambience was warm and welcoming. However the reason I am giving the Gunyah just four stars is because I ordered a chicken dish that was marinated in nuts and it did not say this on the menu. I am anaphylactic so eating this dish could have been fatal, if I had not found a nut in the salad. The Gunyah has many vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options, however I urge the management to let customers know what dishes have nuts in them. Not doing so could have fatal consequences.
