GupShup Restaurant and Bar

Perfect food and service My first trip to Gupshup last night and will definitely go back! Fantastic food, atmosphere and service. I tried the Goan Prawn, Corn Palak and Dal Makhani (served with naan and basmati jeera rice). All three dishes were cooked to perfection with absolutely divine delicate flavours and very little oil. This left you with the feeling that you had enjoyed a really healthy meal rather than overindulging in overly greasy food (which can be the case in many other Indian restaurants). Since the food I tried was all perfectly fresh, healthy and not too heavy I am also excited to try the lunch menu. I wouldn’t normally consider going for an Indian meal at lunch as the food at Indian restaurants can be much oilier and heavier (and the post prandial dip would be too much of a problem for the rest of the day) but this food is different; It is absolutely delicious, SO flavoursome but light and fresh at the same time. I also like the way the menu tells you which part of India the dish is from, giving that sense of authenticity and taste trip around India. We have a few complicated dietary requirements in our family so I was delighted to see a few good choices available for dairy free, vegan and gluten free diets. It would be nice to see a gluten free beer on the menu but otherwise absolutely perfect!
