Very disappointed in the care given to customers who have allergies to certain foods. I ordered, online, a chicken cheesesteak and was very careful to check off and order the Gluten Free Bun. The additional charge was $2.00 which was fine. When we got home, my order was not on the gluten free bun but was in a wrap. Although a wrap is not a bun it still would have been fine if your menu indicated that the wrap was gluten free or even marked gluten free on the box. You did not. In fact even under your list of wraps no mention is made that they are or can be gluten free. My husband went back and asked that it be remade on a gluten free bun as originally ordered. You refused stating that the wrap is gluten free and thats how you make it. Not sure how I was supposed to know that. Clarifying items that are gluten free on your menu would have saved me a lot of time and concerns.

I never write negative reviews (especially with local businesses), as I understand that every restaurant has bad days. However, this used-to-be favorite has been dropping the ball consistently and I feel that I’ve hit the point of choosing to spend my money elsewhere. Guppy’s used to be great, but in the last year they’ve taken a big quality hit. I was a weekly regular and decided to pull back as a result of the varying food quality with each visit. They’ve changed their fries, which are now either limp and cold, or overdone and inedible. The jeweler joes chicken sandwich was always a favorite. Not sure if they’ve changed their chicken distributed, or the kitchen staff has gotten lazy, but the portions are significantly smaller, and the chicken has a different texture now. My biggest frustration of all is the lack of detail in takeout orders. Every time I order online, they forget a side of fries (or give me a 1/4 sized portion, which is clearly the bottom of a batch), or don’t pay attention to gluten free requests (my partner is celiac and now refuses to eat their food after several order mistakes). While I understand that mistakes can be made, it’s just been too many for me to not address via a review. I loved this place and want to see it continue to thrive, but I find it hard to support them when the only consistency they have is disappointing results. With a healthy price tag, they should be able to get orders done right the first time.
