HIVE Bakery & Cafe

Great place! Beautiful atmosphere!! The place was buzzing on a week day. They didn’t have a lot of gluten free choices, but I was able to find a few things on the menu.

Had this bakery on my places to go to as they sell morning glory muffins which as my favorite. Finally got a chance to go today. The bakery is on a corner and they have a boutique next door. We orders a chocolate/pistachio croissant and the morning glory muffin which I found out was gluten free (this through me off as most gf items taste like cardboard). We also ordered a couple of iced coffee drinks. Surprisingly the gluten free morning glory muffin tasted very good and nothing like I expected from a gluten free product. The croissant was delicious as well. The iced coffee drinks were also good, but the portion was small. The bakery is a little pricey for the portions, but if money is not a problem for you, then knock yourself out.

Today was my first visit to Hive and it has destroyed all other breakfast places for me. I had their two egg breakfast (name slipping my mind) and it was absolutely phenomenal. I ordered my eggs scrambled and they were just light and fluffy and delicious - I have no idea how they do it but I need to learn! The breakfast potatoes that come with the eggs were out of this world crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, perfectly fried. I don't usually eat gluten but after one bite of the sourdough toast I couldn't stop. Honestly it was delicious and I will be back. My sister and mom had quiche and that looked amazing as well. The restaurant itself is very cute, just nicely designed and a lovely place to eat. Oh, and the whole place smells fantastic.
