HSG At The Gardens

Attended the recent "food and funnies" night with a hilarious reenactment of 'The Princess Bride'. For a start, the welcome drinks were in an elegant outdoor area, nicely warmed against the autumn chill, and with a view of the lovely gardens. Then we went into a beautifully decorated room, met fascinating people at our table and enjoyed a three act play (which was seriously funny) broken up by delivery of the main course and then dessert. My main was a delicious vegetarian dish of roast vegetables and quinoa with some sensational flavours, followed by a generous serving of sticky date pudding and more butterscotch sauce than I could possibly use. It was the best vegetarian meal I've had in a Bundaberg restaurant, and I would have paid the same amount just for the show, it was that good. So the entry fee was very reasonable. My friend who was gluten and dairy intolerant was very well looked after and loved her meal too. I'll be keeping my eye on their future events because I'll definitely be back.
