What an amazing dainty restaurant, that’s just bursting with fantastic food and even better people. Tonight was our fourth time dining in at Hafla Hafla and I could not have picked a better place for Valentines. The staff made our evening very special, even with having our 4 month old baby with us. They’re just great. They’re very welcoming, friendly and loved our little boy, they give on-point food and drink recommendations, although it isn’t hard… The food at Hafla Hafla is hands down the nicest food on Lark Lane, if not, one of the nicest menus in the city. The tapas/mezze dishes are perfect finger food when caring is sharing. The corn on the cob ribs are probably the most surprisingly tasty menu items on there. I’m not a massive fan of corn, but these take Corn on the Cob to the next level. The menu is hands down the one of the most accommodating menus I’ve seen too, most of it is Gluten Free or has vegetarian/vegan alternatives. Praise Oden for the comfortable seating. Comfortable seats are so rare in restaurants these days and the benches and chairs are very comfortable. My partner suffers with arthritis and she was really comfortable for the 2 hours we were there. The restaurant is not over filled too, the table spacing is we’ll planned too. It is modestly priced too. With a generous tip, the bill came to £80 for 7 or 8 dishes with a couple cocktails!

Lots of GF options on the menu, but when we arrived the staff were pretty nervous about gluten free. And asked if it was an allergy or an intolerance, and said they really couldn't guarantee food was GF. Not the best experience to be told that the food might make you ill, but if you were prepared to chance it... Easier not to make the rest of the table move elsewhere, but really not the best experience. And should be better than this.
