This is beautifully presented fresh authentic and creative Japanese food. The ambience is calm inside, quiet, peaceful, but not formal or hushed. Small booths made of wood, in Japanese temple style, create a sense of serenity and privacy. The food is lovely on the plates, and on your tongue. Standard dishes done well. Some roll combinations are unusual. Small but acceptable beer & wine choices. We took the family, including a child with celiac disease. We had social requests for her food & serving, which they accommodated seemlessly. This is not a showy IN place. But if you're local you're lucky. You can go back again and again. Given the high cost of fresh fish, the prices are fair and the servings are generous. It has succeeded in this slightly off location when so many surrounding restaurants open, then soon go out of business. There's a good reason for this. It's a solid choice and easily the best Japanese restaurant in Santa Rosa.
