I've been coming to HaleLife for a few years on and on, and I have to put my two cents in here. No matter what you get off the menu, everything tastes exactly the same. It tastes like sugar and some sort of cakey bean flour that used to be heavily used in the 90s and early 2000s for anything gluten free. I've gotten donuts, cupcakes, fritters, I just got a brookie and I wanted to like it so badly but instead of a brownie, they used chocolate cake with not a chocolate chip cookie dough batter, but just some other cake texture. A brookie is supposed to be a brownie mashed with a cookie. Same thing with frosting, if its vanilla or chocolate, there's no taste to it except for 'sugar.' I'd like to see this place improve their recipes a bit. Props to having a decent following though, obviously others shouldn't be discouraged from my review alone because thousands of others seem to really like it, and I understand all that it takes to run a business, which is why I don't want to desecrate this great bakery, just hopeful some items can eventually be distinguished taste-wise from others.
