Hangry City Grille and Spirits

The wait staff was super friendly and attentive. She gets 5 stars. I had the Bluto and fries and they were great. 5 stars for that. Where things went sideways was when my wife (who is severely gluten intolerant) ordered the Nachos and after eating a chip became suspicious of the “cheese”. Our waitress checked the kitchen for us and it turns out that the cheese sauce was actually a rue filled with wheat flour. Our waitress was apologetic but also didn’t comp the Nachos. Our kids can eat wheat so they’ve got a snack later but my wife is heating up leftovers back home as I type this and I’m hoping her reaction won’t keep her up all night. This is our first encounter with gluten covered nachos….ever. The kids Mac and “cheese” was really macaroni covered in cost-cutting rue and a gesture of actual cheese on top.

Delicious unique sliders. Offers gluten free bread as well. Delicious and fun drinks and desserts. Staff is great and go out of their way to help (thanks Sierra!). Wonderful place. Enjoyable ever time!
