Happy Italian Pizzeria, Restaurant & Catering

Our party of 3 dined here for the first time last week, and we are glad to report we will be returning. We had the pleasure of being served by Renee and ordered the chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan, and lasagna, which were all very flavorful and well portioned for the price! I didn't notice until after I ordered that the eggplant parmesan is gluten free, and therefore they do not bread the eggplant. I would have rathered the breading but I can honestly say I did not miss it! Three dinner entrees and a glass of house wine came to about $60, which is a good deal.

Happy Italian is a great spot in Harahan. They have a full menu of Italian dishes, but the pizzas are the eponymous dishes for good reasons. Multiple crust options include wheat and gluten-free cauliflower, plenty of toppings, plus different sauces. Their specialty pizzas are great, and the Scantina is my favorite. Online ordering is available, along with delivery. The dining area can accommodate large parties.
